Default A/C draining inside...

I have fairly recently gotten my A/C working again. The only problem with it now is that instead of draining the condensation outside of the truck from the tube in the engine compartment it is somehow draining into my passenger floorboard. It's slightly annoying and I am afraid it is going to rust the floor soon if it hasn't already.

I've tried blowing the tube out with compressed air and poking a clothes hanger rod in there to see if anything was clogging it. It felt like there was something in there but I couldn't get it out, It feels like it might be part of the pipe or something.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm sure I'm going to have to rip up part of the passenger side dash now arn't I?

Sounds like the box has a lot of garbage in it to me. And you are right, it's going to have to come apart to clean it out. I also would not blow air into it! You may have loosened up a large piece of debris or gasket that surrounds the evap and heater cores(besides, what ever crap is in there you will just force it into the fins or blend doors or some where else you don't want it, and the heat and ac won't work properly). One more thing, the tube does not come out that far from the firewall and if the seal between the hose and the FW is no longer sealing the moisture will drip out the hose but run back on itself into the cab. So check the seal around the hose too.

My truck was doing the same thing, was just the seal around the tube coming out of the firewall was cracked, I put some silicone around it and it stoped, maybe its your issue (thanks to whomever helped me with that a few weeks ago )

Thanks, I pulled back all the carpet and some of the dash paneling and it looks like your right. The water was slowly dripping from the tube/firewall connection. I got some Red High temp silicone and did my best to squeeze it all around and I think I have a good seal. I was letting it cure last night but I'll test it out today.

Did you have to replace any of your insulation? Apparently mine has been doing this for a while cause the insulation was rotting. But no rust

Thanks.
