changing a fuel injector do you need to change all 8
ok I have a 98 2500 4x4 auto. I have a misfire in cyl.# 1 . would you change just the #1 or change all 8? any after maket one out there to get or stay away from ?

Are you certain the inlet side of the injector isn't clogged or that it isn't a broken wire to the injector? Have you moved the injector to another cylinder to see if the misfire changes cylinders?
Either way, if the injector is truly at fault, they can be replaced individually. At ~$70 a pop, I don't think you'd want to replace all 8 at once! Also, when replacing injectors replace the O-rings. It's cheap insurance against an engine fire from a leaky O-ring.

I agree that all 16 o-rings should be new
and lubricated as the fuel rail is re-installed
I believe it is ok to change just one injector if it tests bad
it is my opinion that having the factory fuel injectors
tested and cleaned for about $20 per injector
is a a reasonable thing
and with the test results
I would put the two highest flowing injectors as measured on the test stand
in cylinders 7 and 8
... the ones at the back of the engine
A 'ColorTune' sparkplug is another way to diagnose at a problem cylinder
using its small window to look at the color of the flame inside that cylinder compared to others
