Default Coolant stench and no apparent leaks

I seem to have developed a coolant stench under the hood of my truck (99 1500, 360). I can't see any coolant leaks anywhere, there doesn't seem to be any play in the water pump pully (with the belt on, anyway). I put a new radiator cap on it (16PSI) thinking that the old one was shot and burping too much making the stink. This made no difference.

There is no smell inside the cab so I don't think it's heater core related. Could the coolant bottle be making a strong smell?

Is there anything specific I can check?

You could have a pinhole leak in your coolant bottle, or even the radiator.

Another place the smell could be coming from, is a faulty seal where the transmission lines go into the radiator.

I pulled off the belt, and there doesn't seem to be any play, nor does it lose coolant. Grrr...

If it were just the water pump it would be too effin' easy for this particular truck...
