Does anyone know where I can get the spare tire lowering tool? None of the junk yards around me have one. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram Sport 4X4. When I bought it, it didn't have a spare tire, jack, tire iron, or the lowering tool.

 

You could just fab up something that would work i'm sure.

 

Do you have an angle grinder? If so just get a steel rod, grind the end so it fits in the orifice, then grind the back to whatever shape tool you want to use on there.

 

You can lower the tire with a pair of pliers. I used a big hex socket and a rachet on my 99 to fit in the hole in the bumper.

 

i think i used a 1/2 drive extension on mine.

 

You could go to the stealer ship and order one.
