1999 Ram stalls at idle
Please note: In the picture above, you are indeed looking at the BACK side of the throttle body. John cheats, and drives a van. He doesn't have nearly the troubles doing a tuneup as the truck guys do.
I vote we have at LEAST three people bring their trucks to him, to have him change the dist cap and rotor on them. Who's with me?

As for me working on anyone's distributor, no way Jose! I was just under the hood of a friend's '96 2500 5.9, and frankly, I don't think it can be done! I think you guys need to enter into a class action lawsuit against Chrysler.
Now, how about you stop turning people against me, and go moderate something.
LOL - Actually, I just grabbed that picture off the internet, but it sure does look like it was taken by someone who also cheats.

Try doing spark plugs on one of the newer fords........ They hide them quite effectively. Makes a tune up on the dodges look easy.
The only thing back there that would resemble an o2 sensor, is the oil pressure sending unit.
If we are talking about the same thing, and I believe we are, it is both electrical and mechanical, and does have moving parts.

This is what I'm referring to; the IAC motor. The thing in this picture with the screwdriver bit in its mounting screw. If this is not what you're referring to, please post a picture of what you are referring to.

"Well, guess I'm wrong. Sorry... "
Holy crap, nice one .... I can't remember ever hearing that said before .... can you teach me how to do that?? I think it would make my life a LOT easier.

I replaced my AIC and now my idle is about 2500 rpm and I have transmission fault codes (starts in 3rd gear) as well. My fuel gauge went to zero and is not back to normal. MIL is on. Tried resetting be disconnecting battery, no help. I have found multiple durations as to how long to reset the PCM. Any thoughts?
Disconnecting the IAC does nothing. It's like it is not getting a signal. Any idea on which pins to test?
