Sport vs Non Sport Headlights
The truck that I'm picking up today is a 98 and it has some projector headlights and I'm going to replace them with some aftermarkets that look better IMO, but I can't find anything for the sport trucks. Whats the big difference? Can I install a non sport headlight in the truck without modification?
BTW heres what the headlights look like and if anyone is interested in them shoot me an offer

Yes you can get the normal ram headlamps to fit. But you will have to probably rewire some of it as sports have 9007s for lows, 9004s for highs, and you want one pair of 9004s to be both highs and lows (standard config). If you want, now would be a good time to route the headlights through relays (DIY #41).
That way the load is on the relays and not on the switch, and you get more power to the lights straight from the battery.

Well the headlights that are on the truck are projectors that are for a sport. Next weekend I'll take some better pics of the headlights, but there are 2 seperate bulbs in the projectors.
Now can I use a 99-01 headlight assembly or are they different? I'm pretty sure that the 99+ 2 seperate bulbs in the housing but don't know if they will fit

I have a 98 Sport and it only has one bulb. I was told that they didnt go to the two bulb setup on the Sports untill 99. I was having trouble finding Euros for my truck because they all say "for non-sport". Look at your wiring, and you should be able to tell how many plugs your truck origanally had.
I have some projectore for a non sport I just bought thinking they would work. They also have two seperate bulbs but the one looks to be a fog light type bulb, Halogen, and not a 9004 or 9007 bulb

I am coming up with the same problem. I have an 01 sport model and I can't seem to find any halo style projector headlights that say they will fit the sport model. How hard is the wiring to change from sport to non sport so the lights will work? can anyone give good directions on this?

Ok I finally got around to taking a look at the headlight setup and its the single bulb on each side. The projectors that are in the truck split the harness and have 2 bulbs in each housing. And since I think that projectors and halos are one of the worst thing to ever hit the auto industry I'm replacing the headlights with these.....

I won't say that these are the best looking headlights, but they are one of the better looking ones IMHO. The truck is all black, the chrome fender flares are off, the fog lights are off the front and getting replaced with some stockers, the rear bumper is getting replaced and the front bumper is getting resprayed. Everything on the truck is going to be black, and the 20" rims are getting replaced with some black 17s with some oversized nitto terra grapplers.
Thanks for the help guys and I'm really liking the site, lots of good info here and there seems to be a quick response to any questions
