did it blow in the same spot? if so check both surfaces for trueness... seems odd that it would blow with the plate & a felpro gasket. it might be worth it to take 2000 grit to both surfaces to remove any imperfections that might exist. use a sanding block.

also, when you get the manifold off, check the torque on the surrounding bolts, start with the same 3 steps we've talked about. I would want to know if it's still torqued down all the way as we'd expect.

Nah, I have the 12.75 Mopar cover.

Maybe I've just been romping on it too hard and the poor widdle gasket couldn't take it.

Have we gone from
suspecting that the gasket is blown again
to Knowing that it has blown?

Won't know for certain until I pull it, but I'm suspecting yes.

Idle has gone to surging ever so slightly and the pinging starts right around 1/3 throttle now. I can still drive it, but she's gotten progressively worse in the last 2 weeks. I would imagine the leak has expanded a bit but will probably hit a spot that it's won't expand any further.

Thing that threw me was the high idle vacuum and clean pan, but upon pulling the TB, there's oil pooling and idle vac has dropped as well.

sorry to hear that news

There have been past posts that the 'Right Stuff' gasket maker in the Cheese Whiz style can creates a very tough gasket for the plenum.

Well,

I'm not that bummed, yet. A plenum gasket's a lot cheaper than replacing heads. I do still need to address the bubbling in the coolant. looking for one of those hydrocarbon kits...
