Some pics of my truck with no lift and 265 (stock size) Goodyear TD tires. Looking at dhvaughn's truck made me wish i still had 285's. It looked so muh better.

thanks.

purple - nice truck. if your tailgate is still dragging on the rear bumper, you can loosen up all the bumper bolts and straighten it up and then tighten it back down. mine was like that from where the prev owner had done some pulling with the bumper. also, check/replace tailgate cables, they're about $8 each at autozone.

My tailgate and rear bumper just need replaced. They dont hit each other. My bumper has been hi so many times that the monts are just bent, and there are 5 dents in the bumper. The seams on the tailgate are all torn apart making it shut in 2 positions: loose and super tight. I have a tailgate and bumper from a intense blue sport picked out at the junkyard that have no dents/rust on them(maybe a few surface rust spots on the bumper, but im going to get them painted anyways, so what the heck).

P.S. did you see my custom emblems?!

You mod your truck?

Nope no mods, and that is partly why the stock transmission went out 100,000 miles ago. So what if i'm almost double my max towing capacity, what does that really mean anyway I realize I'm loading the truck and wearing out parts faster than they should be, but then again that is my choice. However judging from all the posts about reliability, I just had to point out that I routinly abuse my truck and work it well beyond the limits and don't have near the problems that most people are having. How many people out there have the 2500 and tons of trouble? Or are most the problems related the the 1500. Also how many people out there expect their truck to ride like a caddy, rather than a truck?

I doesn't matter what you buy, chevy, ford, etc. Ball joints will wear out over time, tie rod ends will wear out over time. The only problem that is really dodge specific seems to be the track bar.

got 109k on my 1500 had to do the tranny, and the plenum gasket, other than that just routine repairs, brakes, shocks and stuff that normally has to be replaced. my truck is lifted 3 inches with 285/70/r17. i would just make sure u have a truck emergency fund of like 1500 bucks set aside befor u do any sort of mods just in case something goes wrong.

I just did my ball joints at 54000, they seemed to wear out faster than I would think, but the truck is a 95 so that's sum old joints I guess.... Sorry to thread jack.
