Default Idle RPM

So, just wondering what everyone is idling at, I think my truck used to be a little higher, around 750 or so but now it is at around 500-600, and sounding sick. So, hopefully someone can tell me the right idle rpm, and two, how to adjust it. Thanks for all your help and time.

my 96 dodge 1500 5.9 really depends on the weather, in the summer i was at 500 to 600 75 degrees and upp. below that i idle at 300 to 400. i like the low rpm seems to react alot better.
