Cool fog light installation

ok so fog season is on its way and i want to install a set of fog or clear driving lights....looking for oem lights that go down below in the bumper....anyway my truck is already wired for this....the plug ins are right by where they mount...the box under the hood already has the relay installed....factory wired....so the question is..where is the wiring behind the dash for the switch....or do they just come on when the headlights are ......i was hoping it was just a plug and play type thing...like my brake controller for my trailer was...any ideas..thanks

What year is your truck?

94-98, there was a separate button for the fogs, apart from the headlight switch, IIRC. 1999-2001, the switch was different. With fogs, the switch could be turned as usual to turn on the headlamps, and then you could pull it out slightly to activate the fogs.

I hope Gary doesn't mind me using the picture he just sent me, but it will show you where the fog light button mounts on a 94-97 truck. If you have wiring all the way to the switch, you should find it right there above the radio.

In all honestly, run your own wires and use a relay. The stock wiring in these trucks is abysmal.

Lol, as in, "sucks."

If you need help with the wiring, let me know. I just did a completely custom electrical setup in my truck.
