Default 2001 Ram stereo problem...help!

I believe this is the infinity system. Here's the story.....the drummer in my band was driving my 2001 Ram 2500 with the stock Infinity sound system. When I got the truck back, the left side speakers were not working. They come on for about 20 seconds when I start the truck up, (but not every time) but then go off again. All the speakers on the left side go out. I've taken the stereo out and checked connections ect...everything look ok there. I'm pretty good at fixing things, but thought I'd post here first to see if anyone has suggestions before I tear into it more.

Thanks,
Greg

more than likely either the wires in the connectors are loose, or the left channel in the internal amp is fried might take your stero out and have it bench tested to know for sure. another possibility is that something got spilled on the left speaker or its just blown... either way good luck

Checked the wires ect...all good there...nothing was spilled on it......something must have let go in the unit and fried the left channel/amp.

I have the same problem but I know how to fix it! There was a post on here a couple of weeks ago about it. It said somthing about the infinity system having the amps on the door speakers. And then there was somthing about the "blue" wire. It's a wire that must be connected when replacing head units. They all described the problem as a door speaker coming on and going off occasionally. So look up that thread and it will probably tell you better than I have told you.. blue wire.. That reminds me that I have to fix that too....
