Can anyone recommend a decent spark plug? 5.9 w/ over 100K on the clock, Champions in it now- would like to upgrade but want something that's not $10/plug. Thanks.

I have just put in the Bosch +4 plugs. The truck has 40000 mi and still had the original plugs, cap and rotor. I have noticed smoother running. The plugs were 5.99 ea. I purchased these in hopes of improving my mileage otherwise I would not have spent so much.

NGK ZR5F-11 are great plugs, otherwise if your on a budget, get autolite 3923's or 3924's

I had the autolite 3923's in there and they were great for the 1st 1000 miles or so, then I started having a slight miss. about 400 miles ago I switched to the NGK's and the miss is gone but it's too early to see how they'll be long term... Others swear by them, I'm a long term evaluator kind of motorhead. I need to see it work now and a year from now. Plus I have an off-road MSD ignition system in there already so I know it'll eat up the ignition parts quicker... time will tell and I'll post here later down the road and let ya know.

is it the v-power plug?

V-Power ZFR6F-11 4291 .044
G-Power Platinum ZFR6FGP 7100 .044
Laser Platinum PZFR6F-11 * 3271 .044
Iridium IX ZFR6FIX-11 6441 .044

i have the 5.2 but i imagine they both use the same plugs. what is the benifit of an ignition amp? everyone who has one tells me its THE mod to do. isn't it a bit overkill? wouldn't just a new blaster coil be enough juice?

The 1st thing I noticed after installing the MSD ignition was the motor reved easier while in neutral... to me this is telling me that there is more low end power, can the butt dyno feel it? not really in a 5000 lb truck.

yes it is the V-Power plug, mine are gapped @ .045 thou...

Thanks for the replies. I put in Autolite Platinums over the weekend. They were about $2 each at Wal-Mart. Not bad for platinums. We'll see if it makes a difference.
