I tried it and my truck wouldn't start afterwards! I had bought a sensor off of Ebay to experiement on, so I am not really sure if I did something wrong or if the sensor may have been bad out of the box. When it didn't crank, I had the original one to put back on there. I finally just saved up some money and bought the Superchips.

Sorry, I forgot they were talking about the TPS sensor also. The Crank position sensor is the one I was referring to.

I did the TPS sensor mod and had good luck with that one. It gave the truck a little more throttle response.

Moral of the crank sensor mod: You spend 4 hours on your *** in weird positions for an extra 5 horsepower and 2 less ft-lbs of torque.

crap, all i did was the clean TPS DIY.

As for the CKP mod, I don;t know about that. It is not like you are gonna get any seat of the pants power increases.

But if you are bored, it is free (pending you don't break anything).

TPS mod:

Drill out the metal sleeves on the TPS where the mounting screws reside. Screw the mounting screws back in, but not tightened down. Turn the key to on, but don't start the engine. Back probe the center wire of the TPS plug with a multimeter. Turn the TPS until the multimeter reads as close to .75V as you can get, and tighten down the mounting screws.

You've now modded your TPS. Happy accelerating.

I will add that the PCM will compensate for this mod after it learns the new parameters for the TPS. Not exactly sure how many start ups it takes to compensate.

TPS mod. Hmmm sounds good. i have a few TPSs in reserve if it goes wrong. Something to do on sunday. I want a full weekend to do the headers and gauges. i want to make a DIY for headers since there is no DIY. It can get pretty crappy.
