I had 35" tires on when I bought my truck (no lift) i have a 1500 ram. It fits but if you go full lock while turning your going to rub your lower links (w/stock tires) and if you have any sort of lugs on the tires they tend to rip off when you hit that flange on the link. Also if you have stock gears your going to decrease the power of your truck significantly. You pretty much lose overdrive on the hwy especially if you have a head wind. Its also very hard on your transmission, shifting gears all the time and if you pull a load your truck feels like its double the weight because your so far undergeared. If you baby the heck out of it you will probably be ok but if your transmission is already going like most peoples its only going to make things worse.

I lifted my truck 5" and still only went with 33" tires and its still at a power loss with my gears but thats why i have been saving for awhile to do a gear swap. My 2 cents.
