Just a stupid question, I just wanted to know if the bulb in the radio could be replaced or if the radio was hosed. 95 cabrio. And what would be the easiest to fab up for a tool to remove the radio. I know it's just a couple of U shaped thingy's, but just thought you might know some thing I could make real easy.

^^Sorry, Bro. I don't know late-Watercooled. Go Air!

Got tired of waiting for lady-lush, changed, and whipped out the passenger side real quick. I take it this is correct?

Yep, looks good in the pic. Do you have access holes in the back plate so you can adjust the star adjuster ?

Nope. I had to play with it by trial and error. Someday, I'll cut the hole.

I am also going to cut a hole for the adjuster. Just make sure you get the adjuster tight enough where the drum will barely go on.

hey VW, can you tell me off hand whether the star adjuster spins toward the outside of the truck to tighten or do you have to pull it inside to tighten?

I have the adjuster holes and need to know whether I push the adjuster or hook it and pull it back.

To tighten them you would put the tool in the slot towards the bottom and pull down on the tool.

Raise the rear of the truck and tighten the adjuster until you can't spin the wheel,(this will center the shoes on the drum) then back off a 1/4 turn.

Well, my friend didn't show up, so I cobbled together the driver's side and bled the system as best I could (I have a vacuum bleeder) and went to town to get my parts. Tomorrow, I'll Get everything installed and post up a pic.

Thanks a lot for your patience and assistance.

Alright, I have my parts and everything is assembled *EXCEPT* the bottom spring is causing me issues.

Here are two pics of how I have everything installed (Driver's Side)

I take it the spring goes in the slot where it can be observed hanging out?

But if I install it in place, it interferes with the adjusting mechanism.

WTF??!?!?!!!
