Default plenum torque and bolt grade?

what is the torque and sequence for the plenum and are grade 5 bolts good enough for the plenum, intake, heads?

maybe better to buy a new set of bolts, just to be sure that the grades are correct and the lengths are right. I'll check this afternoon for the right torque and sequence (my book is in my workshop ).

there have been some past posts that the 'root' of the plenum gasket problem started many years ago when the holes on the intake manifold side somehow did not get tapped deep enough.

it might pay to check each threaded hole,
and perhaps use a 'bottoming tap' in each one
to ensure adequate thread depth

Hey, sorry for the delay, forgot my book again last time

Apparently there's no sequence to follow, just torque steps:

Step 1: 24 in-lbs
Step 2: 48 in-lbs
Step 3: 84 in-lbs

Have fun!

Greetz,

Bigster
