I need to do some serious maintnace on the truck this winter. I need to replace the cap+rotor, brake pads, coil, plug wires, valve cover gaskets, re-wire my lights, suspension bushings, trac bar, tranny fluid w/new cooler+deep pan, PCV valve, IAC sensor, oxygen sensors, re paint grille...the list goes on.! I think I have not done a oil change in 10,000 miles! This winter should be fun!

I just got to finish the S10!

I checked on 'em when I did my last tune-up, and the NAPA I called said they would have to order the truck plugs. I guess none of 'em stock 'em.

This thread is perfect for my question...I did the seafoam in the oil today so I needed an oil change. I got someone to do it for me; I know I know I could of done it myself but for $15 labor is was worth it. I run Royal Purple and K&N Oil Filter so I supplied those to him.

He pulled a spark plug for me and ewww! Time for a tune up: spark plugs and rotor and cap...said I could do wire but did not need it.

Anyway...I have no garage and its cold still here! Total cost for him to do it $235 parts and labor OR I can bring in my own parts (priced it at $85 parts) and his labor of 2 hrs $130..save me $20.

Was wondering what you all thought about the pricing? $130 labor worth it and let him have the blame if anything goes wrong? Or just man up freeze my tail off? Just concern about the sequence.

Thanks for the advice...not the beat down!
