Default Multiple questions.

To start out with, I wanna say hi, I am new to the world of dodge trucks as I just bought mine, 1996 1500 EXT. cab with a 5.9l, a few weeks ago as a tow vehicle for my JEEP and to play with a little.

Now on to the questions.

Trannsmision coolers, do they make them for above model, I am not sure of the tranny type but all the ones I find say they are for the smaller V-8's and V-6's. I am looking at doing the this along with a oil cooler mainly becasue of where I live and the huge hills I have to drive up and tow up.

Next, I am looking at putting a Cold Air Intake on it, I know they make custom fit ones fo this truck that have an intake box and such, I however have the tools and ability to make the box myself, would there be any loss of performance if I were to by the cheap universal fit and customize it my self, or is the material of the custom fits that much better.

Below is a photo of my truck.
