Mine has the PCV valve on the passenger side and breather on the driver's side. I have seen on some Rams where the PCV is on the driver's, and breather on passenger side

my 01 has the pcv on drivers side (which sucks dirty air out of the engine). the passenger side has a hose connected to the air filter (which provides clean air into the crankcase). this hose can be replaced by a breather element sitting directly on the valve cover, which eliminates a hose and sort of cleans up the look. its also useful on a CAI which might not have the port for the hose.
