Default Shocks?

Whenever I go over a bump I hear a bang comming from the rear of my 2001 dodge ram short box 4wd. It like the shock has no movement at all. When I jump up and down in the box the truck will go down but very slow to come back up. Blown shocks? Is there a DIY section for this? Thank Chris

It could be your shocks are going, if they are original you probably should just swap in a new set. You shouldnt need a writeup though, there are only 2 bolts holding each of the rears on, you just unbolt the old and bolt in the new.

Thks for the reply, looking for info on the front as the rear do look simple. The front I was wondering if the whole coil spring comes out etc. So it does sound like shocks cause I ordered 4 monroe truck shocks today.
