Yea I am...have you experienced any steering problems or bearing problems with your tires sticking out so far? I heard this might an issue.

Can anyone recommend some rims that have a black center, 16 and have a backspacing no larger than 4.5"?

Hmm not bad. anyone out there with a suggestion? I think I like the 4" backspacing...just enough but probably not too much to mess my steering controls or bearings...I hope!

Mine stick out a decent ways and I've heard you wear out front end parts faster but and I have worn stuff out but I don't know about faster. Around 100k I had to put ball joints in but that seems to be normal or even longer than normal. I had to do axle seals earlier than that but still I seem to be getting about the same mileage as others out of the front end parts.

I will say though and probably why he recommends flairs expect behind each wheel to have a ton of rock chips and if you do a burnout expect to have rubber all over the lower half of the body. It's near impossible if not impossible to get off. I still haven't found out how to get it off. I got it off the exhaust but can't get it off the truck.

It looks great but it tears the paint up. I have a bunch of little rock chips behind each wheel on the lower half of the truck. You don't notice them from 10 feet away or if you do not much but when you get close it's tons of them.

Now I love the look of my wheels and tires so it's worth it to me but it may not be if you care about the paint. Flares would save you from having this happen but at the same time I don't like the look of flares.

Flares don't always save it. I have flares and I still get rock chips and all sorts of dirt/rock/mud throwup on the lower rear of my fenders. Not to say that they don't help but it doesn't completely eliminate the throw up.

First off...I am excited to see this thread still alive! It was basically dead in the beginning....anyway!

I really like those rims you suggested....I do not see a price...any idea how much they cost and the backspacing?

I think I have decided to get new rims with a 4 inch backspacing....I think someone said our stock rims have a 5 ot 5.5 inch back spacing...so 1 to 1.5 inch is plenty for me....

BTW if I get my new rims anyone interested in buying my alloy stock rims with all terrain 265/75R16 set? I can sell rims OR tires....they sitting in my yard!
