Default water pump

went bad i think, it's leaking out of the top corner of it.

ideas?

is the $110 for the "high performance" pump worth it?

from summit
"Increase pump pressure up to 300 percent"
* Eliminate steam pockets trapped inside the engine block
* Reduce engine temperature by 15-30 degrees
* Help increase horsepower

Increase pump pressure up to 300 percent= may blow out sumthing
Reduce engine temperature by 15-30 degrees =throw a code

i wouldn't buy it..

that's what i was thinking. but, what about replacing the thermostat at the same time? would i have problems with a OE replacement water pump and a 180* thermostat?

Thing with running the 180 thermostat you will throw a code (engine temp lower then spec).

any one know how to trick the ECU to thinking it is the right temp???

yes stock is 195.....

there are a few people on the forum running 180 with no code/ and some get a code.

so you may get luck, you may not get lucky with a 180

ok so... i hate my clutch fan!!!! we could not get it off to save obama's life!

but... i can take it to work tomorrow and use the right tool haha got the new pump on... had to take off the radiator and shroud and everything to get to it though. went on ok... came off like a bitch haha

but this was all combined with me not knowing what the hell i was doing but reading a book haha

tomorrow just gotta get the fan put on and tight and put the shroud on. Then fill the radiator and hope to god there isn't a leak!!!

this whole thing sucked cause i wanted to get my headers on this week...
