OK so can you put 15 inch wheels on a ram? I heard some one say that they won't clear the brake assembly? is this true?

 

I got a 15in rim on mine. I have no prblems with brakes, granted I stil have stock brakes, you may not be able to if you have larger disks.

I want to say you can run 15 inch rims on the rams before they upgraded the brakes for 2000 and 2001 model years. I'd need someone else to chime in on that, I'm not 100% sure.

 

I have heard that as well. I have a 2001 and was told that the upgrade to double piston calipers made 15" wheels impossible without grinding away some of the caliper body. Not 100% sure though...

 

I need to know for sure cause I've found alot of 15s around here for sale with l like 33s and 35s and I wanted to know if they would fit before I bought them you know.

 

just keep in mind it a few years when you go to buy tires again you wont hardly be able to find 15's and they will be real pricey!

 

why would 15's be pricey? when I went and priced tires the smaller tires were cheaper than the 16 17 18 20s 15 is a really common size for jeeps and small trucks and suvs

 

I think MAJohns is speaking about the fact that not many trucks/suvs are coming with less than 16" wheels anymore, and over time the demand for 15" A/T or M/T tires is going to go down = less production. I think this will take a long while though, since many, many, many Jeeps and older off-road vehicles have 15" wheels.

 

15's on 2nd gen and 17's on 3rd gen. 99% sure.
