I agree with Silver Dodge...i've been a moderator for plenty of sites...hopefully this one soon...anyway. Ads pay for the site...don't like them? don't click on them.

I am also a web developer by profession so I I know all the ins and outs for payment.

this is a truck site...sorry guys not a dodge site...if it was we would get dodge supports...guess what...we don't!!!

So please stop complaining and just post...you see an ad u don't like? just ignore it, thank you.

That would make zero marketing sense. Why sell your choir on the gospel? If anything, it makes sense for Chevy and Ford to put their ads on this site and for Dodge to spend their marketing $$$'s elsewhere....like on the S10 Forum I used to be on (And no kidding they had Dodge ads).

What pisses me off is when they put ads on paid services. That's why I don't have satellite radio, why should you pay for something and then they're are still going to put ads on it. I feel the same way about cable tv, but I can't escape that cause it's the only good internet service in my parts. ghey...

Thats funny, I've never noticed ads on Sirius radio.

I think this is a tempest in a teapot. Who cares if you have to see a Chevy ad? When you drive your dodge, your gonna see Chevys on the road. They make decent trucks, we just have dodges. No need to start a friggin inquisition.

BTW, I like Ford too., Anybody whose got a problem with that can deal with it.

I am a moderator for a Music website, http://bandamp.com

it's an interesting position to have. You have to be prepared to put your own objective views aside, and be able to control your temper.. The main thing to remember is, people posting here have no right to free speech, to say what they want, at the same time, people don't have the right NOT to be offended. This is something where most things will be tolerated as long as they don't go too far. once it starts getting overheated, you gotta step in. On Bandamp, we keep it very family oriented, for a music site, it's an unusual site. We don't allow cursing, we don't allow tasteless lyrics.. We also don't allow ANY spammers on the site.. it's a little easier to control there, as it's still fairly small.. The member list is huge, but there aren't that many truly active members... But the quality of music is amazing.. We had a few get togethers in the past.. Hoping to have some more.. anyone into music here, should check it out.. Akk, it sounds like I'm spamming.. I should stop now.. hehe...

Anyway, Moderating a forum is not an easy task, that's the point of what I'm trying to say.. Although,it seems the people here are pretty low key and down to earth.. for the most part...
