Default Terrible strategy by forum moderator

I'm not sure who the moderator of this forum is, but they are an idiot. Everytime the word "truck" is used there is a silverado add. Not to mention the banner add at the top, and the Ford banner on the side. This is a DODGE forum, shouldn't they be trying to sell more Dodges or maybe even parts for them.

It's whoever's got the $$$$, dude. Google ad's don't care who's forum it is, and they pay the bills.

Ads generate revenue. Money is money.

Who's the idiot now?

You don't sell sliverados on a dodge site. so, tell me who the idiot is now?

He is right, put Dodge stuff on the forum and I will look. The site gets $$ from people clicking on the ad.

its extremely annoying to have the ad pop-up appear

I do not promote it, so i type key words with spaces, like t r u c k. (as you can tell by my sig)

Those ads draw people away in the long run! It does bring in revenue for the website , BUT, most of the time , people that post here originally have a problem with a Dodge Ram (and don't even stay long enough to read the replies they get) So mean while they might read around the site and see all the probs these trucks have(supposedly)and then see that ad for a truck that is at the very east 9 years newer! I say WTF also! They should be Dodge Ram ads, not POS chevy's as far as I'm concerned.

tips - (i'm writing in chunk like Hank does so everyone can follow
1. use firefox
2. download/install Adblock plugin.
3. right click on all the surrounding trash, and block the ads, frames, background.

result - nice plain page, loads faster, no bs.

more info.

in that pop up box there is a circle with a question mark in it, and if you click on that, there is an option to disable the ads.

OR,
1. Don't install Firefox.
2. Install IEPro7 (ad-block for IE). Just google Internet Explorer ad-blocker
3. and no adds or links from key words appear.
