Well i got my new IAC valve from my local dodge dealer, The thing worked great, Problem solved!.... For about 60k.... Now its back to the same old. Runs fine but sometimes at idle you can hear it suddenly starv itself for air and smells rich as can be, it will idle itself up and clear up, then a couple seconds later it does it all over again... Tell me i dont need to spend another $120 on this IAC again

i don't know. i recently cussed and cussed and replaced 3 or 4 IAC's. i thought i was doing the right thing because each new one would solve the idle problem for about 6 months, then it would return. this last time it had all the same symptoms, but threw a code p0123 (TPS). i replaced the tps and it stopped the surging/fast cold idle, which i would have sworn was an IAC problem.

 

Yea man, I dont know about these IAC's. I went through 3 in 30,000. Sometimes they jsut suck I suppose, I dont really know any science behind it but that they just suck.

 

So ill be testing my TPS tonight when i get home... Every little bit helps!
