Red face HELP... No ingnition No fuel..

Truck will not start. After many checks on my 99 Ram 1500 5.2L from symptoms of no ingntion and no fuel pressure in the rail i assumed that my trucks computer was bad so i went and got one at autozone preflashed to my vehichle specs. Put it in and still no ingnition and still no fuel. these are the things i've checked so far..

* Relays - voltages are right but no signal from the ECM to activate ingnition and the fuel pump.
* Scanned with the OBD2 but am getting no fault codes. Tester indicates "MIL system off". dont get that..
* DC voltages according to diagrams are coming into the ECM and appropriate grouds are there.
* Power distribution system relays are ok.
* All checks indicate that my ECM is off...

Can anyone send me some feedback on things that might help me. I also need to know if there is anything that i need to do other than getting the ECM flashed (did that) to get the new ECM to work? Also is there a certain sensor on the vehicle that might kill the computer i havent checked?

Any feedback would be useful. Thanks in advance for your help...

A faulty crank position sensor can kill the engine like that.

did you check the battery for a charge?

Please keep me posted on this. I have had the same symptoms for 2 winters now, but only when the temp drops to 30's and below. Otherwise I've had no problems at all. When this happens I also have no spark and no pressure at the fuel injector rail line. I was told to use a hair dryer at the computor ECM and this did help. But after last night I may have used the dryer too long and burnt something out on the ECM or other. Now after overnight cooling down and trying to start up in the morning I still need to use a hair dryer on ECM or I also have a inline radiator heater that I plug in the night before that works too. It will still start up but seems a bit different once warmed up. And since using the dryer the other night too long I think, the van progressively starts to run like crap and bucks and stalls out like a bad miss after ten minutes. Now I have 2 symptoms going on. I used the ignition on/off/on/off/on wait for engine lite to blink code test and got 3 blinks, pause 5 blinks, 5 blinks, which I think is 03 code stop info? Looked up online for the 03 code for my 94 B250 5.2L van but only found codes start at 11 and go up from there for my year.

I just ordered a new ECM from auto zone, but will take 4 or 5 days to come in. And I'm stuck without a vehicle til then. I'm hoping this new stalling out problem is just a cause of using the dryer too long. I don't want to get the computer up and running only to have this new problem too. So if you don't mind keep me posted.

It was also suggested pryer to trying the hair dryer test pointed at ECM that the cam postion sensor or crank position sensor causes the no spark and no fuel pressure syptoms. I'm guessing you get these symptoms regardless of temperature.

P0355 Ignition Coil E Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

Your coil's fried. or possibly the ignition system relay.

I've also heard a bad crankshft position sensor will give you this symptoms. I checked the sensor with an ohm meter across the electrical connector I/A/W the book and all cks well. Also the 5V input is there. What really gets me puzzled is that I get no fault codes and my OB2 reader indicates the MIL sys. is off. Is this part of the symptoms of a bad crankshaft sensor?

Wanted anyone doing a search later on to know my particular problem was fixed with a new ECM computer. Thanks to everyones help
