Default Two Questions!

As i slow down for some reason i hear a ticking it is not loud at all but just wondering what it could be. Turning up the radio easily gets rid of the sound. Also my trucks stock fog lights take at least 1 or 2 minuets for them to turn on is it supposed to be like that?

Ticking could be many things. What part of the truck does it sound like its coming from?

No, its not normal for it to take that long to turn on the fogs. I would look into replacing your headlight switch, as that is probably the culprit.

On 1995 Rams there is a TSB for ticking from the instrument panel as you slow down.

I get a ticking (or a vibration) sound when i speed up over 55-60. I swear is that plastic thing on my antenna. It sounds like a plastic bag flapping in the wind, but its not loud, just annoying. Oh, and I can hear either my lifters or valves ticking until it gets warmed up, something I noticed after I removed my hood insulator.

If you have a 4x4, maybe u-joints, but I could only hear mine going bad when i had the winders downs.

Does it make it when you are applying the brakes, or just coasting and slowing down, or when you are just driving slower you can hear it?

Coming from the dash?

Must be the radio if it makes the sound go away.

later models of Chrysler antenna do have the
welded on spiral wire that serves as a
'vortex breaker'
instead of the plastic cover

earlier 'smooth' antennas
do go into
'resonant oscillation'
at certain speeds

if you have a fiberglass or plastic tonneau cover
you can build a far superior
antenna yourself
and hide it under the tonneau
for a tiny noise reduction
and a tiny aerodynamic improvement

Thanks Jammin, now where did the pic go? LOL Mine was doing the same thing, only it is a 4x4.(now atleast we can eliminate the possibility of it being the front hubs, ujoints,or drive shaft) I rotated the tires and adjusted the rear brakes and the clicking stopped. I suspect is was as simple as a pebble or some thing in the wheel or rear brake drum. And BTW, since it is a two wheel, check the ujoints on the drive shaft.
