Using 4wd
I don't know who would use 4x4 in the rain, but that is down right overkill. I was inquiring about using 4x4 on black ice. The roads were clearly coated in a fine layer of ice. A couple of times my rear end swayed on me. After I put it in 4x4, the truck sustained controlled on the rest of the way to work.
should be ok im a vol. ff and on day we got hit for a house fire and in was haleing and pouring rain and i ran my truck had!!! the 2 miles to the staion in hi and it was fine i was buring cars in rain and hail going up hills and they had stoped and if i hadnt i would have never had it up the hillcause my tires and done there like slicks now!!! anyone have some tires!!!!
LOL. I needed that. I guess its easy to talk crap thru the keyboard!!! But I will say this limited slip on ice sucks and it doesnt matter if you are in 4 wheel drive or not. Take this from somebody who has spent over 8months a year with the roads covered in ice!!! I run in 2 wheel drive all year b/c it is damn near impossible to turn my truck in 4 wheel drive.
second.. you're a kid who thinks he's hot **** cause he drives a big truck.. grow up and drive your truck like a man.. by using 4wd only when necessary
if you think i'm full of crap.. continue to drive in the rain like a girl w/ 4wd.. and let me know when you snap your freakin axle in half!
im still yong so i can screw up now in life instead of later so just chill and like u didnt do the same when you were a kid and im learning to respect the ram by not doing burn outs when i have wanted to...rain and hail the size of golf ***** and that much rain the hail was flying passed me cause of the rain you couldnt see the end of my road it meets 2 creeks the hole road was coverd in sticks mud rock the next day the township came in and had to clear the road.
i disengage 4wd when im about to turn and i only use it when its pouring and i cant see anything or when the roads are really slick. my tires dont grip on very well in the rain. And i dont use my truck as a sports car.
