Sorry, but on a pickup, your never going to have enough width to get your twin sticks down to a perfect swr... well at least not unless you put them out on some type of outrigger mount or a front to back setup. anyways that being said congrats to the guys who want to mess with them enough to get them to work properly. because I do agree it's a sweet look.
I had mine mounted under my middle seat, with a external spaker. It worked well, but was kinda a PITA to switch channels around. I ended up taking it out because the booster/repeater I made for my cell phone interferred too much. seeing as I use my cell a lot more when the towers are down the prioity was to be able to make the calls.

not a problem. galaxy 99 tuned and just got my 600w fatboy installed on truck at work,sold the 400w.he,he.
