back on topic...lol...I am gonna buy that cd mentioned on ebay or somewhere online. It is cheaper by about 30 dollars than a truck stop. I just checked that today on my way home. Will let you all know how it comes out.

i'm too lazy to read the whole thread but if somebody just wants a cb to talk to their buddies at close range, the little compact cobra at walmart for $34 can't be beat.

for cheap ones, we have the uniden pro 510 at work in the equipment.(about 50 of them) they work great too. about 40 bucks.

Buy a Cobra-19 for cheap,.. Head over to a C/B-shop
located at most T/A truck stops along any major interstate.
Let them peak & tune for you. Or,.. MOST C/B-shops have
refurbished radios for sale cheap. That might be your best
bet on saving some cash.
