Bolt size/identification?
I'm in the process of replacing my water pump/ blown head gaskets and I just noticed a bolt hole that I believe has been missing the bolt for it for a very long time. I had an oil leak coming from somewhere and this may be the reason for it. Anyways, it's located directly beside the water pump bolt that is located below the water pump outlet/neck. I'm not sure what the housing is called that the water pump is bolted to. I tried to find it in my Haynes manual so I could at least get the bolts for it. I can't remember if that housing is part of the timing chain cover and it's all one piece. Thanks for your help!
Sorry for the bad cell phone picture; my digital camera is broken. Hopefully you can see which one I'm talking about because I have a lot of cleanup to do but wanted to get this bolt first.

that is the timing chain cover, and one of its bolts is missing. i'd really really recommend that while you're that deep, go ahead and remove the timing cover. replace timing chain and sprocket and front seal. you can stick a wire in there to find the depth. its probably a 5/16 or 8mm bolt.
here's a pic.

Thanks, I'll probably find the right size tap to get the correct thread size/# of threads per inch and then I'll measure the depth. I shouldn't need to replace the timing chain because I did that about 30k miles ago but I'll check the slack on it and inspect it for any damage.
