Hey guys new to this form
I've got a 97 dodge ram 5.9L gas v8 360 ent. cab 265/70R16 tire and stock rims
I am looking at putting oem 20" factory rims on !
I have 16" 265/70R16 on it now and the rims I am looking at are factory rim and tires that a few guys are selling on e bay
and was looking at picking up a set.
can anybody help me out ? or if you know of somone who has done this ? i have called dealers to see if they fit and all they say is to try them on to see well $1500 is a bit much for me just to find out . so well thank you much if you can help me with this....and if there is alot of mods to be done to fit them......

i run a set of 20 inch rims on 275/55/r20 tires as you can see by the pic there is plenty of room. i wouldnt think that the backspacing is anydifferent. as far as spending 1500 on a set of factory rims is insaine. look around and see if there are any better deals. my opinion is that those wheels wouldnt go with a older second gen truck, but to each their own. some ppl dont like my set up either. good luck to ya

I am looking for a someone who has done this or has seen someone who has put them on just to now what I am getting myself into.
I have done alot of mods in my time to my camaro and i hate buying stuff then working on it for days to make it fit it's alot of fun doing up a car or truck but you must know what your getting into .

I like building things that only a real car or truck guy can see and point out !!!!

i agree with the piont of working on my own stuff. i would never if at all pos let someone do it for me. trial and error can be a big pain. 285s are the biggest i would go with on a stock 2nd gen ram. let me know how it works i would like to see what it all looks like. i caN NEVER SEEM TO post good pics here so feel free to email me too. good luck to ya.

to date i have only seen one 2nd gen dodge ram in person with the stock 20's on it. they looked great and fit no prob. bolt pattern is the same, and he even had a 2 inch drop. so id say, yeah, theyll fit. but that is expensive for those rims. i had seen a set on ebay that came w/ tires for about $1000 CDN. keep looking.

 

yeah i only payed 1100 for rims and tires that are on my rig..shop around bro

For the $1500 is what I saw on e bay but I looked fast didn't look at all of them !!
