is it better to plow with od off, my guess would be yes becasue it wouldent be going in an out of gear all the time and you would prob have more power too , am i wrong i dunno i dont plow but just curious

I have to ask, do you think he plows the highway or a secondary road? If he does plow highways or roads then yes... turn O/D off. my guess its driveways, and small parking lots. I don't see a sander so thats why i was guessing smaller lots and just driveways.

more than likely he would be in either 4lo, or in 4wd and manually select 1st.

I plow OD off and 4hi. We can get up to 34-40mph in the parking lot I plow (300 acre Schnucks warehouse)... Alot of forward and backward.. up and down all day lol

at those speeds O/D wouldn't kick on anyhow. so thats good.

dude.. you can sell the plow brackets you have and controler on ebay right now!

plows mount are running anywhere from $300-$600
controler is runing about $80-$100 !!

I've been looking for a cheap plow for a year now!

I can get a new meyer 7.5' installed for about $3,800

I was thinking about buying each part seperate but.. the mopunts are freakin $500 alone!

a good site is www.govdeals.com my buddy bought a meyer 7.5' plow brand new for $75.00!!!!!!!!! the state bought it and got ride of the truck before it was installed and sold it in July.. he was the only bidder

I know they aint cheap. Tis the season! I am pondering the idea of keeping it and shopping for a blade sometime next summer. I could use some extra EZ $$$ next snow season

That guy scored a deal for $75. It was worth more in scrap prolly
