Question Exhaust note

Maybe it's all in my head, but I swear I think I get a more aggressive exhaust note when I drive around town with my OD off. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I nuts? I don't think a few RPMs would make that much difference, but I swear my ears say differently.

with the od off the motor is work harder so u get a few more rpm's out of it so it might be louder but why make yr motor work harder than it has to???

i have never noticed it.i will pay attention though next time.

on another note,i always drive with my od off until i get to speeds around 50 or above.my reasoning is i think our motors are alot stronger than our trans ,and it reduces the shifting.

Yeah, I do it b/c it has much better pick up even at low speeds, and I don't have to worry about that shift down out of OD since my tranny goes into OD at around 45 mph with easy driving. I have heard that the OD on these trannies is a killer...only use mine on the highway.

Mine used to be the same way with od killing my shifting. But with the SCT now i have power all over the place. Im guessing my shift points were changed and i love it. I shift at round 50 something now.

Nice, too bad the tuners can't change the shift points for 1-2-3. I hate how mine shifts, and it hunts for gears sometimes. ugh.
I'd like it to upshift at 4k and not downshift unless I stuff the pedal. Dumb valve body.

you can slightly adjust the TV cable to fix that. IDK about 4K shifts, that all depends on how hard you romp on it.

No, my shift points are different. Different RPMS different speeds.
