So the retreads only last two years and cost half the price, but I've had my BFG all terrians for 4 years and I've heard of lots lasting to 6 with tread left. Why bother with the retreads at all? Sure BFG all terrians cost twice as much new but last 3 times as long, I'd rather stick with new tires. And no offence even the picture off their site looks like ****. Just my opinion.
i had brand new bfg a/t that only lasted 2 yrs, i was pissed. i kept them rotated and balanced regularly, and never did burnouts, it was mostly highway use, but they still only last 2maybe 40k mi, thats not worth buyin new ones to me, i went with these retreads in july, i couldnt have been happier.
OP - Before you get them mounted on your truck, would you please take a tape measure and measure how tall they are (to the nearest quarter inch or so)? I'm wondering if retread 285s are taller than non-retread 285s. I might be interested in a set if they're a little taller. Thanks.
