the 1500 might win since its lighter, but the gearing on the 2500 might even it out.
only one true way to know...
I'd do 3 out of 5 runs, unless its a blowout, then who wants to get beat badly another 2 times?

I would say the 1500 will win in the 1/4 mile due to the weight difference. Are all 2500's geared lower? And wouldn't the advantage of lower gearing give out before the 1/4 mile?

Tires also.
You say you have off-road tires.
Are they taller than stock?
You loose some off-the-line time
with a taller tire. Gearing WILL
net him a win is he's grunting around
with 4.10's & your driving around with 3.55's.
Your muffler won't do squat except sound better
going down the track than his. You exhaust only flows
as well as your smallest restriction in the WHOLE system allows.
But,.. He's a buddy, have fun, enjoy.
