Straight piped as in NO cat ? I'm getting that code too, but it's the post cat sensor and I have a Magna-flow cat. I'm going to install an extension (spark plug non-fouler to see if it corrects the issue).

No offense here, but your truck is not "straight piped" if it still has the converter on it. A straight pipe, or pipes, is when you have no converter, no muffler. From the manifolds/headers straight back and out (or chopped or side exit or whatever), nothing but pipe.

Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the upstream sensor before the converter, if I'm not mistaken. Usually with that code you need to replace the sensor, or get a Fastman O2 sim. You can find the sensors at O'Reilly's or any number of parts stores usually. The sim...

That's why I asked. And now that I think of it , I think my code is P0138.

And as far as the extension goes, it's just a spark plug Non fouler . You screw it in to where the 02 goes and then screw the 02 into it. Moves the 02 out of the direct flow and fools the PCM/O2 into thinking things are normal.

im working on straight piping it but i need to figure out the sensors first. I already emailed fastman and he doesnt have any sims and doesnt expect to have any in for awhile. so im stuck again.

Zman- where do you get the extensions ? do they work ? i was thinking last night and when i was hooking up my A/F gauge i hooked it to my front wire because i read something on here that said to(which was wrong) and it sparked do you think i fried a wire or something ? That was before i replaced the sensors so both sensors are new since then.

I don't know if it works yet, this weekend I'm doing it to my post cat sensor. But thats a different situation than what you have.(but I've read post's here in the past where it works for some people even on the pre cat sensor).
And you can buy the non foulers at almost any auto parts store. 19mm thread I believe, it just needs to be one long enough to install the O2 sensor in.

And since I'm dealing with the post cat sensor, i don't have to think about the A/F ratio's.

Yes Talon6 is correct, and also IIRC some where on here is a post to make your own from parts bought from Radio Shack.
