Which is a good alternator? Would you use remanufactured? Can I use 136 amp if I currently have a 117, will bracket fit?

I would just go get whichever one the auto parts place sells for it. I had bad luck a few years back with remanufactured ones, but that was just my experience. Others may have better luck.

on something like an alternator that's easy to change, i always go with the cheap discount reman. with the lifetime warranty. if it does fail you just exchange it for another... usually they last fine.

i don't know about the fit on the hi-amp. it probably would. if you can take in your old one, most places will test it for free, and you can compare size.
