Default Brake/Third Light do not work

Good evening everyone,

I bought a used 1994 Ram 1500 the other day and just noticed the brake lights do not light up when I press the brakes. The two rear lights work when my lights are on, just not when I press the pedal. The third light does not work either.

Is this a simple problem like a fuse or a loose wire that I might be able to fix myself?

Thanks for your help!

Phil

Check the fuses. They are located on the drivers side of the dash. You should see the cover when you open the door.

I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be my fuse. Only difference was that my dash lights and tail lights didn't work.

I'm embarrassed to say it was a fuse. Thanks.

Don't be! I always got questions, and somebody is bound to have an answer. Just got to ask the right people.
