2001 Ram 1500 4x4 off road


Anyone have any ideas why my fog lights would come on by themselves and stay on?
They are aftermarket kc lights mounted on my bumper,but they are hooked up through the factory wiring.
I have swapped out the relays from the fogs to the horn and the problem is still present.
Do these lights have an constant hot and switch the ground? if thats the case I may be grounding it somewhere from a rubbed spot or something similar.

could be your head light switch is broke, or a wire got rubbed up on something and is grounding out and keeping them on.

 

I am wondering about the switch but I am not sure how to check it without just buying a new one.

 

idk if there is a way, go to a junkyard and pick a switch up for 10 bucks and put it in there.

 

thats a good idea. I will try to track one of those down on monday I reckon.
