Default Engine Stalls while in drive at stoplights in cold weather

I have a 1994 Dodge ram 1500 3.9L V6 auto; in cold weather (-6 to 10 degrees) after a decent warmup, my truck will stall out at stops while in drive as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator like when I am waiting at a stoplight or as I am braking to less than 15mph while I am turning a corner. To counter act this until it straightens up, I brake with my left foot while I keep a slight idle with my right to keep truck from stalling out at stoplights. After about 20min in operating temperature, the engine finally stabilizes and stays running normally while I am stopped or doing braking manuevers while turning. Any ideas on what is causing the stalling in the first 20min of drive time?

Thank you,

Chad

My camaro did the same thing, Turned out to be a weak alternator. Maybe something to look at since Autozone does a free check.

Thanks, I'll check into these and see if either may be the culprit.

take out the 02 sensor at the CAT, if it "relieves pressure" the cat is clogged, and while its out look at the 02 sensor and see if the plenum problem got to it and built up carbon/oil n it.

A common problem for dodges is the intake manifold gasket. I have a 5-speed manual and it used to stall immediately after starting in the cold weather. I found out after a suggestion from a local mechanic that there was a leak in the intake manifold gasket. easy fix and worth a try.
