Just bought a 2000 1500, with a 5.9
I would be all over that place and the Atty gen should be right beside you. If they sold you a warranty then they should honor it. Not just give you your money back. At worse, call Judge Judy. It sounds like the type of case that would make for good TV ratings.
Somebody in the for sale forum has a 2001 model 360 with 96K miles for sale...even has a new plenum, ported intake manifold and harness for $650. You can pick up a tranny rebuild kit for a decent price. I found one online with a stage 2 shift kit included for around $500. Good luck.

well, Good news, The motor isn't blown.. I went out tonight and checked it out, the motor is fine, the oil pressure sensor was just stuck.. It now works fine, and the pressure gauge is working fine.. There is no knock.. I have verified that as well.. So, all I need is transmission and donut gasket for the exhaust..

Not too bad for a 2000... I may still tear it apart and check everything out, though it has no leaks anywhere I can see, and looks clean as hell.. I'll try to get some pics of the motor this weekend, besides, I like to use cameras, I usually can spot things in the pics that I didn't see out there under the hood..
