Default 98 Ram 1500 V6 2WD

Need to change pads and rotors on 98 1500 V6 2WD. How hard is it to remove the front rotors. Is it necessary to remove the nut/bearings or does the rotor just slip off. I know I might need to tap with a mallet but never changed rotors before on this truck. Thanks

on a 1500 i think the rotor just slips off. the 2500/3500 requires removing the BIG nut. let me see if we can find a picture...
