cant remember using on a dodge i think iv setup or worked on too many plow or utility trucks not to mention wreckers but all the ford and chebs absolutely love them and have had far fewer front end problems after installing them

Stick with a light duty plow like the western 7.5' midweight or older western standard blade for your 1500, and as long as you have the heavy duty service group option you will be fine, if not add a tranny cooler. No need to replace your stock springs or shocks.

With tires larger than 265's you may need to add a ballast weight to the rear, or add leveling kit to prevent tire rub when turning w/plow raised
