I took mine off because I was trying to soften up the harsh suspension a little. I figured that if I was running over bumps in the road on just one side, both front shocks were being called into play. By removing it, it did soften up the harshness maybe a little, and I noticed no other change in handling at all. On my truck, it is just an extra chunk of metal to weigh it down, so off it will stay!
