What is amazing to me is that you got the pump off without pulling the fan. I would go for electric fans before buying another oem style.

Yeah, nothing like a lot of involved work and electrical wiring over a simple swap.

an electric fan is not very hard to install. a couple hours, and good to go. i have the flexalite black magic 180. with adjustable temp probe you insert in the radiator. flows 3300 cfm when ever it kicks on. my temp guage never moves. even on 100* days, stuck in traffic with a/c on.it also has a low amp draw. and in the winter my truck warms up faster because it doesnt kick on until about 180*. i never really noticed any hp gains or mileage gains. it does let the motor rev a little quicker though.250$ from moes performance.

2 things i donnt like is it is a little bit loud. when its on you can really here it moving the air when you are stopped, at lets say a red light or something. and it will kick on a few times after the motor is shut down for the first couple minutes, when the motor temp goes back up over the desired setting.

been exactly there.....

have you got a vise. clamp the old wp pulley in the vise and put a very big adjustable wrench on the fan nut. don't worry about crushing the old pulley, since your throwing it away anyway. just clamp the crap out of it.
