Unhappy Engine misfire detected: P0308, P0305

My code reader indicates that cylinder 8 and 5 occasionally misfire. I replaced all 8 spark plugs about 6 months ago and didn't get the 'check engine' light until last week, so I'm assuming I gapped and installed them correctly.

I did have a thread a while back about my idle dropping and the Ram stalling out on me. Changing the Idle Air Control Valve seemed to help some, but it does make a whooshing and hissing sound alot while operating the vehicle.

So any guesses on this new problem? I greatly appreciate any suggestions.

loose plug wires? worn spark plugs? I suggest pulling them and checking.

I have this same problem with my 99. pretty much the exact situation. installed the plenum gasket per the Hughes kit and put in new plugs, wires, cap, rotor. for a while I was good, but now I have the check engine light on and I'm throwing the p0308 code for misfire. there is a whooshing sound when accelerating. I'm lost on this one.

I have a 4.7 Dodge Ram getting the cyl misfire code. I put those E3 plugs in about 30k miles ago, and after pulling them they are fouled pretty bad, especially #8. I can't wait to put some normal plugs back in. Those E3 plugs are a scam in my opinion.

Default multiple codes

97 ram 1500 5.2 missfiring , running rough . Went to auto zone . The tech gave me a list of 4 codes narrowing it down to ignition . Vacuum . Fuel pressure and another I Dont remember cuz that wasn't it anyway ... so after reading many online mechanic suggestions I decided to start by changing the plugs and .. fingers crossed ... stopped missfiring and went back to auto zone to clear codes and seems my truck is happy with the new plugs and running Supurb .. after all it was the cheapest thing to start with .... So if anybody has this issue I hope this helps, next step is Lucas fuel stabilizer for a good cleaning
