hey everyone
i have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 2wd and in the summer i blew the engine out of it. it was a bunch of things that went wrong with it first the # 8 injector failed open witch dumped raw full into the cat and plugged it with over heated the valves and i lost compresion. i have found a 318 out of a 1995 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with 180 000km on it for $500.00 so i was wondering it everything is compatible wiring, headers and transmition
thanks kyle.m

is yours a 318 now? if so, then yes, it should go together nicely.. no issues at all. If it's not a 318 in there now, then you need to change the computer, because the computer is set up for your motor you have now.. Computers are available easily on Ebay, and the likes, and aren't that costly anymore.. So, either way it should be no problem..

Are you just swapping the engine?
The basic block is the same but you will need to swap over lots of components from your blown 99 engine to the "new" 95 engine.
Off the top of my head, Intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, all sensors, injectors, distributor, flex plate.
The connectors and wiring are substantially different from 95 to 99.
