The white brackets are 6.5in from the end to the middle of the 90 degree bend. The plates bolted to the bracket are 3.5 inches. I used all-thread to replace the bolts on the lights to make them tall enough. To fit the bracket inside of the bumper bracket, you have to cut a contour into the end of the bend so it fits within the bracket. Just fool around a bit until you get it, then clone what you have.

Those look like they have no specific aim pattern going on. Definatley the biggest cob job I have ever seen...lol
However, I think it's harder to wire them up than to mount them to a solid surface, so good job there. You should be able to get a few pieces of L-brackets at HomeDepot to bolt them to the frame or something similar. Us 06+ guys have it easy with a perfect spot to bolt right to the frame.

Home Depot L brackets wont work in that location. There are a lot of holes down there yes, but most are tough to bolt to, as some are offset from others.

well im the least patient person in the world so i went ahead and installed them earlier (went off on my own and did just fine). I'll post pictures as soon as i can find my camera. It turned out pretty good besides the fact the the driver side light is still slightly shaky. Ill fix the shaky thing later when i buy my new switch. Took me about 2 hours total. Most of that time was with the hack saw (had the worst blade imaginable) Oh and i cut the black "grill" crap off the lights and it made a pretty significant difference.

I'm glad you think our pictures are ugly as hell. I'll be sure to extend you the same courtesy tomorrow.

Can you all give this kid a break? He is learning and I say bravo for your first attempt!

I still gotta wire my off road lights and back up lights sometime. Hard to get motivated with snow outside and no garage!
